About Bank

“Music is and will always be a passion of mine. My true desire is to create music for people to live by.” -Lil Bank

Pete Cortez, also known as Lil Bank, was born on February 8, 1993 in Houston, Texas. At the age of 32, Bank has been putting 10+ years of hard work into achieving his own brand of success. Comparing Bank to other artist is difficult due to his varying rhyming techniques and diverse content. His audience is wide ranging but it’s been proven that his music is heavily impacting ages between 18 and 34. It seems that his art and creative nature has no ceiling when it comes to influencing any age or gender. Being a risk taker, he’s not one to shy away from trying different genres of music and blending styles into his hip-hop foundation. As a growing artist, he continues to challenge himself to become better at taking on new obstacles with one goal in mind…to overcome.

T.I., Tupac Shakur and J. Cole are a few artists that have motivated Bank to excel at being a great artist himself. His personal struggle and hardships have instilled a great amount of hope to come up in the game that he loves. Growing up around legendary artist/ mentor, Paul Wall, Bank has always been taught that his career path should be a marathon and not a sprint. With this kind of longevity in mind, Bank truly plans to knock down doors that others haven’t and open up doors for others like himself.
